Sometimes the beauty of certain ancient Asian silks inspires and challenges the artist to render the image with paint. Such was the case with the creation of “Birds Among the Blossoms”. This version served a timely dual purpose – the artist ably used its rendition to demo decorative painting techniques to an attentive and appreciative audience. The original piece, fabricated on acrylic paper, was raffled off as a fundraiser.
