Kathi Dugan

This was my first acrylic painting and my first acrylic painting using a photo. I had taken my two small grandchildren for an adventurous walk through the wooded and cranberry bog paths surrounding my home in Carver, Ma. The walk was adventurous only because it their imaginations made it so. There were all kinds of tigers and bears and make believe creatures lined up along the way. Coming back, my granddaughter had exuded much energy playing the flute and dancing and skipping but my grandson had plenty of energy left to burn! My granddaughter is content to stroll, enjoying the lare day sun on her skin but my grandson must still whoop and holler and run! Having caught them both on film, I wanted to expand the moment onto canvas.
