Small Wonders by Kathi Dugan
While apple picking with my family, I was curious as to what my young grandson, John, found so interesting in the grass. I was also charmed by his little scrunched up body and fuzz, big child's head. I snapped the photo and then investigated. As far as I could see, there was nothing unusual to look at! Desiring to paint the scene, I added in a few apples, in honor of the day, and created a focal point for my grandson that made sense to me- a little green worm, staring right back at him!
