Kathi Dugan

This painting was completed from a multitude of snapshots. Each individual was pieced together from an assortment of photos, taken at a variety of events over past recent years; they were then brought together at a fondly remembered family vacation campsite. Many specifics were requested for this portrait, from the beer to the type of fire pit to the articles of clothing and personally relevant insignias. What made the portrait especially meaningful and somewhat bittersweet to work on was the knowledge that both of the parents, featured in the center of the painting, had since passed away.
This was the gentleman' s gift to his wife and the gathering was of her family.
