Quiet Contemplation by Kathi Dugan
A young girl, curled up in a red blanket and cuddled among pillows on the sofa, is lost in her own quiet thoughts.
The girl was my granddaughter, Jenna A. O'Connor.
The light in the room was dim and the photo very grainy. The red tones played against her face and hands. This looser painting varies from my usual tight, detailed style but the photo did not give enough information to do it any other way. It was a fun change up and an enjoyable challenge to attack this painting out of my usual norm!
Do you have a favorite photo of a loved one and would enjoy seeing it transformed into a painting? If so, please visit Prices/ General Information Page and feel free to contact the artist. Kathi Dugan is happy to accept commissions!
Acrylic on Gesso Board
Original Painting still available. if, Interested, please contact the artist.
