The shops and streets of Bellagio, Italy, have been rendered by the artist in this vivid painting. Activity, at the moment, is to a minimal. During the quiet morning lull an elder gentleman basks in the light, enjoying his morning paper, while a woman in red climbs the winding steps between the soon to be bustling shops. This scene was captured by camera during Kathi Dugan's all too brief stay in the Lake Como region. A photo was used as a reference for the painting.
