Gruesome goblins prepare to ambush a fair maiden and her wary defender. The maiden guards the rare and sparkling moon blossom, known for it's special healing powers. This is the treasure that the goblins seek to steal and they will use every advantage they can gain to get it. Will the defender's mastery in battle, his skill in wielding his powerful sword and shield and the swiftness of flight imparted to the maid by her enchanted , winged slippers prevail in the ensuing battle? Will good triumph over the evil intent of the dastardly goblins? We certainly hope so.
About this painting: As with the single portrait, "Child's Play", my three grandchildren were dressed and ready for a day of rollicking fun at "King Richard's Faire", in Carver. Ma. They were already assuming their roles and hamming a bit for the camera, thus I was able to get the shots that latter became the paintings!
